Sandy Lanton, a former teacher, earned a BS in Psychology and an MS in Early Childhood Education from Queens College.
She is the author of The Happy Hackers, Lots Of Latkes, Daddy's
Chair and many more. Her work has appeared in magazines as well as several anthologies. When she isn’t writing stories or visiting schools, Ms. Lanton likes to play tennis, crochet, or read, read, read. The Lanton family lives
on
Long Island.

Shelly 0. Haas has illustrated sixteen books for children. In addition to receiving the
Sydney Taylor Award for Daddy’s Chair, Shelly has received the
Sydney Taylor Honor for the Magic of Kol Nidre, a Yom Kippur story, The Kingdom of Singing Birds and Grandma’s
Soup. She has also received the National Jewish Book Honor for Thank You, God! a Jewish child’s book of prayers, and The Kingdom of Singing Birds.

Vicki Jo Redenbaugh illustrated several picture books for
Carolrhoda, including Green Beans, by Betsy Thomas, When I’m Alone, by Carol Partridge Ochs, Pug, Slug, and Doug the Thug, by Carol Saller, and Button. Bucket, Sky, by Jacqueline Briggs Martin. She also did illustrations for a book called
Holiday Fun, by Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo), published by Fairview Press. She is currently writing and illustrating a pop-up book about a bear for the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (published by Eastern National) which should be available this summer. She lives on a small organic farm in northern
Wisconsin with her husband, 2 children, and many many pets. They spend their free time outdoors: sailing and camping in the summer and skiing and ice skating in the winter. She also enjoys reading and gardening. |
